Kindergarten
Roy G. Biv Rainbow Landscape:

The class will review the colors of the rainbow and the acronym Roy G. Biv as a way to easily remember their order. The class will review the parts of a landscape and follow along step-by step to practice a landscape on their white boards. The students will then draw their final copy on paper and color the rainbow in using Roy G. Biv colors.

1st Grade
Warm and Cool Colors:
The students will review the Warm and Cool colors. They will draw a series of lines for their background and then color in with cool colors. They will then draw a variety of shapes and color with warm colors. They will then cut out and glue down their shapes onto their background.

2nd Grade
Ancient Roman Mosaic:
The students will review the steps for their Mosaics and then continue gluing down their colors. When they are ready they will begin adding a background.

3rd Grade
Racial Symmetry-Mandala:
The students will review Radial Symmetry. They will brainstorm and sketch ideas for the Mandala project. They will follow along to fold their paper and then draw their design in one section. They will then use a 6B pencil and white colored pencil to trace and transfer their design to all 8 sections of their paper. They will then begin tracing with a Sharpie.

4th Grade
The Principles of Design:
The students will review the requirement for the Principles of Design project and finish and hand it in. They will then complete color blending packet. Once the packet is complete the students will learn about chalk pastels and how to use and care for them properly. They will practice blending with the pastels.

5th Grade
Self-Portrait:
The students will follow along with videos and demonstrations to draw eyes, noses, and mouths and then continue adding details and shading in. They will also follow along to learn the proportions of the face and begin adding details to turn it into a self-portrait.
