Kindergarten
Lines, Shapes, and Colors
The students will learn and review basic lines, shapes, and colors. They will be able to recognize when various lines, shapes, and colors are used within a piece of art. The students will practice tracing, drawing, and coloring using lines, shapes, and colors by completing worksheet

1st Grade
The Elements of Art (Line, Shape, and Color)
The students will learn and review basic lines, shapes, and colors. They will be able to recognize when various lines, shapes, and colors are used within a piece of art. The students will practice drawing a variety of lines and shapes on the whiteboards. The students will complete drawing activity utilizing lines, shapes, and colors. 


2nd Grade
The Caves at Lascaux
The students will discuss art history and how art was made in the past. They will learn about the Caves at Lascaux and discuss what materials and methods were used to create their cave art. The students will complete worksheet.


3rd Grade
Texture Rubbings
The students will learn about texture and view various types of texture found in the classroom and within pieces of art. The students will utilize a variety of adjectives to describe and name textures. The students will explore the classroom and create texture rubbings from found textures.

4th Grade
Realistic Landscape
The students will define landscape, the parts of a landscape (horizon, foreground, middleground, and background) , and view examples of landscapes. They will learn techniques that will make their landscapes more realistic and show depth. They will apply knowledge to complete worksheet. 



5th Grade
Still Life with Value
The students will review basic shading techniques and how to make objects look realistic with the use of value. The students will demonstrate their knowledge through the completion of the value worksheet. 

6th Grade
Zentangles
The students will review lines and patterns and how they are used within pieces of art. They will practice a variety of lines and patterns on the whiteboards. The students will demonstrate their knowledge through completion of the worksheet.
