Below is my weekly schedule so you can see which rotation day your child has art class. Each week I will give an overview of what students will be learning and creating in art class. December 20th-December 24th

7th Grade Art (1st and 7th Periods)
Monday-The students will review for tomorrow's quiz on perspective.
Tuesday- Quiz. Students will continue on their Fantasy Perspective Cities.
Wednesday- Fantasy Perspective Cities.
Thursday- Half-Day- Fantasy Perspective Cities.
Friday- No School

Beginning Drawing (3rd, 4th, and 5th, Periods)
Monday- The students will review for tomorrow's quiz on color, pastels, and landscapes.
Tuesday-  Quiz. Students will continue on their Pastel Landscapes.
Wednesday-Pastel Landscapes
Thursday-Half-Day- Pastel Landscapes.
Friday- No School

Intro to Art (6th Period)
Monday- The students will review for tomorrow's quiz on grid drawing and Surrealism
Tuesday- Quiz. Students will continue on their Fantasy Hand-Scapes
Wednesday-Fantasy Hand-scapes
Thursday- Half-Day- Hand-Scapes
Friday- No School

December 13th-December 17th

7th Grade Art (1st and 7th Periods)
Monday-The students will learn two-point perspective.
Tuesday- The students will review one point and two point perspective and complete a sketchbook assignment.
Wednesday- The students will be introduced to the next project, Fantasy Cities.
Thursday- The students will begin sketching ideas for the project.
Friday- The students will continue developing ideas.


Beginning Drawing (3rd, 4th, and 5th, Periods)
Monday- The students will learn landscape vocabulary and view landscape art.
Tuesday-  The students will learn pastel techniques and experiment with pastels.
Wednesday-The students will be introduced to the next project and begin sketching ideas.
Thursday-The students will continue sketching and transfer sketches onto larger paper.
Friday- The students will begin adding pastels to the project.


Intro to Art (6th Period)
Monday- The students will finish drawing activity and then be introduced to the next project and begin sketching ideas.
Tuesday- Students will continue sketching ideas.
Wednesday- Students will transfer hand drawings on larger paper.
Thursday- Students will begin adding color with colored pencils.
Friday- The students will continue adding color.

December 6th-December 10th

7th Grade Art (1st and 7th Periods)
Monday-Knights of Columbus Drug Awareness posters due at the end of class.
The students will be introduced to the next unit and complete a sketchbook assignment.
Tuesday- The students will learn about architecture, design, and the architects Frank Lloyd Wright and Frank Gehry.
Wednesday- The students will learn one-point perspective.
Thursday- The students will learn two-point perspective.
Friday- The students will review one point and two point perspective and complete a sketchbook assignment.



Beginning Drawing (3rd, 4th, and 5th, Periods)
Monday- The students will be introduced to color and color vocabulary. The students will complete drawing exercise.
Tuesday-  The students will learn new color vocabulary terms and complete drawing exercise.
Wednesday-The students will finish and hand in drawings.
Thursday-The students will learn landscape vocabulary and view landscape art.
Friday- The students will learn pastel techniques and experiment with pastels.

Intro to Art (6th Period)
Monday- The students will learn how to draw a hand realistically. The students will practice sketching hands.
Tuesday- Students will continue drawing hands.
Wednesday- Students will continue drawing hands.
Thursday- Ten realistically drawn hands due today. Students will be introduced to Surrealism. The students will begin surrealist drawing activity.
Friday- The students will finish drawing activity and then be introduced to the next project and begin sketching ideas.
