Below is my weekly schedule so you can see which rotation day your child has art class. Each week I will give an overview of what students will be learning and creating in art class. I will also include relevant images, information, and links to additional resources. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns!!

Schedule for the remainder of the year!
 
Kindergarten
The students will be learning about the colors of the rainbow and ways to remember their order
(ROY G. BIV)
The students will learn the parts of and how to draw a simple landscape that includes a rainbow.
 
1st Grade
The students will learn about the warm and cool colors. They will learn about the artist Friedrich Hundertwasser and his use of color. They will create an abstract piece using warm and cool colors.
 
2nd Grade
The students will finish their Mosaic projects. They will then learn about Pointillism. They will complete worksheet in which they practice using dots to make up a picture. If time allows they will create their own Pointillism picture.
 
3rd Grade
The students will continue on their Lettering Design projects. They will learn about Notan designs and create unique  Notan designs of their own.
 
4th Grade
The students will finish their pastel landscapes. The students will learn about Pop Art and Pop Art artists.  They will create their own Pop Art design.
 
5th Grade
The students will finish their Op Art designs. They will learn how to draw realistic facial features. They will draw a realistic shaded self-portrait.
 
6th Grade
The students will finish practice Grid Drawings and then choose a picture of a person for the project. They will use a grid to draw and shade in their picture.
