(Day 1-5)

**6th Grade Art Club begins Monday October 2nd from 12:50-1:20. 



Kindergarten


The students will be introduced to the Primary Colors. They will follow along to complete worksheet.








1st Grade

The students will review the project requirements. The students will finish coloring in their shapes and hand in project.



The students will then begin discussion on Abstract and Realistic Art. They will view examples and be able to determine if an artwork is realistic or abstract. If there is time they will practice realistic and abstract drawings on the white boards.

Abstract Art



2nd Grade



The students will finish coloring in their drawings using earth-tone colors only. They will then use watercolors to paint in the background. If there is time, the students will be given introduction to Egyptian Art and view examples. The students will discuss similarities and differences between the two cultures learned about so far.

3rd Grade



The students will review information on artist and illustrator Eric Carle. The students will sketch animals and trace their best onto paper. They will then determine the types of textures they will need for their chosen animal. They will use paint and a variety of tools to create textures.







4th Grade

The students will review information on landscapes and the project requirements. The students will add in details to make their project unique. They will then learn colored pencil techniques to help their landscape appear more realistic. They will outline and color their landscapes.




5th Grade
The students will review information on value and shading forms. The students will learn about composition and different techniques to create successful still life compositions. The students will practice compositions on their white boards and then trace onto paper their most successful one.




6th Grade



The students will review the Zentangle project requirements. They will finish adding lines and patterns to their design.  They will mount and sign their project.

(Day 6-10)


Kindergarten


The students will review lines, shapes, and colors. They will complete project by following specific directions using lines, shapes, and colors.




1st Grade

The students will review the project requirements. The students will finish adding in lines to their background, then trace shapes on top. They will then use crayons to neatly color in the shapes.


2nd Grade



The students will review information on the Caves at Lascaux and the project requirements. The students will continue adding animals and symbols to their paper.  The students will color in using earth-tone colors only. They will then use watercolors to paint in the background.

Kindergarten


The students will review lines, shapes, and colors. They will work together to complete Line, Shape, and Color Worksheet.




1st Grade

The students will review lines, shapes, and colors. The students will then work in groups to create art using randomly assigned lines, shapes, and colors.  


2nd Grade



The students will review information on the Caves at Lascaux. The students will finish worksheet and continue practicing drawing subject matter from that time period. The students will learn the project requirements and begin the project.

The students will review information on Texture. The students will learn about Collage and view demonstration. The students will choose their best texture rubbings from last week, cut out and arrange them and then glue down on black paper.






4th Grade

The students will review information on landscapes. The class will follow along with demonstration to draw a practice landscape on the whiteboards. The students will add in unique details and then trace landscape onto paper.  



5th Grade
The students will review information on value and shading forms. The students will finish value worksheet. The students will learn about composition and different techniques to create successful still life compositions.




6th Grade



The students will be introduced to Zentangle designs. The students will learn the process and then begin their design using Sharpies.

Kindergarten


The students will be introduced to lines, shapes, and colors. They will use white boards to practice different types of lines and shapes.





1st Grade

The students will review lines, shapes, and colors. The students will then practice a variety of lines and shapes on the white boards.


2nd Grade



The students will be introduced the very first type of art ever created, Cave Art. The students will view examples and learn about the techniques used to draw and paint in the past. The students will complete worksheet.





3rd Grade



The students will be introduced to Texture. They will learn about the two kinds of texture. They will find a variety of textures around the classroom and create texture rubbings using crayons.  






4th Grade

The students will learn about landscapes. They will discuss the parts of a landscape and the techniques used to give the illusion of space in a landscape. They will complete worksheet.



5th Grade
The students will discuss value and how to make objects appear more realistic. They will learn how to shade in a value scale and 3-D forms. They will complete value worksheet.




6th Grade



The students will discuss lines and patterns. The students will view examples and practice a variety of lines and patterns on the white boards. They will complete worksheet.
