*Art at NSE with Mrs. Zink*

Below is my weekly schedule so you can see which rotation day your child has art class. Each week I will give an overview of what students will be learning and creating in art class. Below you will find a brief description of what each grade level will be completing in art class this week along with any important vocabulary and/or artists.

 

 

 

Kindergarten
(Bernosky-Day 1, Kaminsky-Day 3, Potts-Day 4,
Frushon-Day 5)

 

 

The students will learn about the Warm and Cool Colors. They will complete Warm and Cool color worksheet




 

 

1st Grade
(Bridy-Day 1, Burns-Day 2, and Cooper-Day 4)

The students will review the warm and cool colors. The students will review information on the artist, Friedrich Hundertwasser. The students will continue warm and cool Abstract Flowers project.

 


 

 

2nd Grade
(Corinchock-Day 1, Schalles-Day 2, McCabe-Day 3, and
Bell-Day 5)



The students will review Mosaics and how to create a mosaic. The students will continue cutting and gluing strips of paper in a mosaic design.

The students will review the Mandala project requirements and finish transferring design. The students will color in, cut out, and mount on construction paper.

The students will review the warm and cool colors and the process of color blending. The students will complete color blending packet. The students will be introduced to chalk pastels and how to care for and use them properly. They will practice blending pastels.

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

5th Grade
(Houser-Day 3 and Connors-Day 4)

 

The students will review Op Art project requirements. The students will finish sketch and begin final copy of project.

The students will review the three sewing stitches. They will finish sewing handout and then continue on sewing exercise.
