Below is my weekly schedule so you can see which rotation day your child has art class. Each week I will give an overview of what students will be learning and creating in art class. 7th Grade Art (1st and 7th Periods)
Monday- Share family tradition drawings. Review vocabulary terms.

Tuesday- Introduction of Notan Paper-cutting technique.
Wednesday- Complete Notan design
Thursday- Introduction of Narrative Art used in book covers, complete group activity.
Friday- Discuss book cover layout and design.

Intro to Art (2nd and 6th Periods)
Monday Continue painting Self-Portrait/Begin research of Painting Movement
Tuesday Continue painting Self-Portrait/Begin research of Painting Movement

Wednesday- Continue research and begin writing prompt/ or begin sketching

Thursday Review for quiz

Friday- Quiz-on acrylic and watercolor paint, painting techniques, and portraiture

Graphics (3rd Period)
Monday- Photoshop Project #4-Thumbnail Sketches/Design in Photoshop
Tuesday Photoshop Project #4-Design in Photoshop

Wednesday- Photoshop Project #4-Thumbnail Sketches

Thursday- Review for Quiz

Friday- Quiz on Photoshop tools and techniques.

Illustrate a quote: Choose an inspirational quote and illustrate it or look up a word or words that you do not know and illustrate them. Write the words and definition/quote on the back of the page. Any medium is acceptable.
