Below is my weekly schedule so you can see which rotation day your child has art class. Each week I will give an overview of what students will be learning and creating in art class. I will also include relevant images, information, and links to additional resources. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns!!

February 27^th-March 2^nd, 2012

7th Grade Art (1st and 7th Periods)
Monday- Continue introduction of one-point perspective. Practice more challenging shapes.

Tuesday- Continue practicing a variety of shapes and making them appear three-dimensional.
Wednesday- Introduction of project. Begin sketching block letters.
Thursday- Continue sketching block letters and developing ideas.
Friday- Begin final copy of Perspective Name

Intro to Art (2nd and 6th Periods)
Monday Finish shading and hand in Self-Portraits.
Tuesday Introduction of Acrylic Paint. Begin Exercise #1-Value Scale

Wednesday- Begin Exercise #2-Tints, Shades, and Complements.

Thursday Continue on Exercise #2

Friday- Begin Exercise #3-The Color Wheel.

Graphics (3rd Period)
Monday- Review Photoshop Filter Tools. Complete Exercise #6.
Tuesday Review and then complete any missed exercises. Upload all exercises to Wiki.

Wednesday- Introduction of Photoshop Project #1-Design 3 Logos.

Thursday- Continue developing ideas and thumbnail sketches.

Friday- Continue developing ideas and thumbnail sketches.

Monday- Apply Oil Pastels to still life
