Wednesday-Introduce new unit-Artists as Designers. Discuss the design process and types of design. Sketchbook Assignment.
Thursday-Continue on Sketchbook Assignment.
Friday-Introduce architects Frank Lloyd Wright and Frank Gehry.

Intro to Art (2nd and 6th Periods)
Monday- shade Cubism Project
Tuesday-shade Cubism Project
Wednesday-shade Cubism Project
Thursday- Finish and hand in Cubism Project.
Friday-Introduce new unit. Discuss and view types of Textures. Sketchbook Assignment.

Sculpture (3rd Period)
Monday- Read article on Bernard Palissy and Maryann Webster. Complete questions and begin brainstorming ideas.
Tuesday-Review project requirements and continue sketching.
Wednesday-further develop ideas and sketches.
Thursday-Review of clay information and techniques.
Friday-Students will create final sketches and begin construction.

Advanced Sculpture (3rd Period)
Monday- Introduction of Alberto Giacometti/Complete Reading Strategies.
Tuesday-Introduce project #2-begin research/sketching
Wednesday-Project #2-continue researching and sketching
Thursday-Project #2-continue researching and sketching
Friday-Project #2-continue researching and sketching

Beginning Drawing (5th Period)
Monday- Continue shading still life

**SPIRIT WEEK**

Fall Window Painting due Friday 9/23/11
The theme is "Colors of Fall" rendered in the style of a stained glass window.
It must be drawn on 9 x 12 paper and be colored with colored pencils.

It is required for Intro to Art and Beginning Drawing classes.
It is an optional extra credit opportunity for all other students.
See Miss McDonald with questions or to hand in your drawing.
