*Art at NSE with Mrs. Zink*

Below is my weekly schedule so you can see which rotation day your child has art class. Each week I will give an overview of what students will be learning and creating in art class. I will also include relevant images, information, and links to additional resources. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns!!

Rotation Days 1-5
Mon. November 14th- Fri. November 18th



Kindergarten
Fall Tree (Mixing Orange):
The Kindergarten classes will discuss the different parts of a tree. They will follow along to practice drawing a tree on the white boards. They will then draw and color their final copy.


1st Grade
Klimt Patterns:
The students will review the project requirements. They will finish drawing their tree and adding patterns. They will then outline in sharpie, color in, and then add glue and glitter.  



2nd Grade
Egyptian Art:
The students will complete any remaining Egyptian assignments: the packet, the collar, and the headdress.



3rd Grade
Oil Pastel Pipes:
The students will follow along to practice drawing various pieces of pipes. The students will then complete the worksheet by drawing and shading the pipes. The students will then be given demonstration of how to use and blend oil pastels. The students will complete oil pastel exercise.


4th Grade
The Elements of Art:
The students will be introduced to the 7 Elements of Art. They will follow along and complete exercises on the white boards for each element. They will then complete packet.


5th Grade
Shaded Rope/Ribbon:

The students will review project requirements. They will brainstorm and sketch project ideas, then draw and shade final copy. They will then add in an interesting background.


6th Grade
Illuminated Letters:
The students add final details and finish coloring in their names. They will being sketching and brainstorming ideas for a Christmas/Holiday Card. The students will draw final copy.
