Below is my weekly schedule so you can see which rotation day your child has art class. Each week I will give an overview of what students will be learning and creating in art class. 7th Grade Art (1st and 7th Periods)
Monday- Fantasy Perspective City.Review Study Guide for Quiz tomorrow
Tuesday-Quiz. Fantasy Perspective City
Wednesday-add finishing touches and details to city and then hand in.
Thursday-Introduce Symbols and their meanings in everyday life and in Art
Friday-Symbol Sketchbook Assignment

Intro to Art (2nd and 6th Periods)
Monday- Finish painting Color Chart. Hand in Color Chart and Elements of Art Packet.
Tuesday-Introduce artist Amy Eisenfeld Genser and her technique of Paper Quilling. Complete Paper Quilling exercise.
Wednesday-Elements of Art review worksheet
Thursday- Review Paper Quilling. Introduce project and begin sketching.
Friday-Start Paper Quilling project.

Sculpture (3rd Period)
Monday- Add final touches to high relief sculpture and hand in.
Tuesday-Review unique clay hand-building techniques and experiment with techniques.
Wednesday-Develop sketches for Functional/Nonfunctional pieces and begin construction.
Thursday-Functional/Nonfunctional Clay sculptures
Friday-Functional/Nonfunctional Clay sculptures

Advanced Sculpture (3rd Period)
Monday- Wire construction/writing prompt research
Tuesday-Finish and hand in Wire sculpture and writing prompt
Wednesday-Introduce Memorial Sculptures. Research Memorial and complete worksheet.
Thursday-Introduce next project, begin conducting research and developing sketches
Friday-Continue conducting research and developing sketches.
