Below is my weekly schedule so you can see which rotation day your child has art class. Each week I will give an overview of what students will be learning and creating in art class. 7th Grade Art (1st and 7th Periods)
Monday-Finish Self-Portrait. Hand back all projects.

Tuesday- First Day of 4th Marking Period. Introduce the Art room, review syllabus and class expectations.
Wednesday- Introduce Artists as Storytellers. Begin Sketchbook assignment.
Thursday- Finish sketchbook assignment. Share with the class.
Friday- Introduce paper cut-out artist Carmen Lomas Garza.


Advanced Drawing (3rd Period)
Monday- Grid portrait and enlarge to 18 x 24 paper
Tuesday- Sketch portrait and transfer to Charcoal Paper.
Wednesday- Experiment with various media.
Thursday-Begin applying media to paper
Friday- Continue on Self-Portrait.


Graphics (4th Period)
Monday- Photoshop Project #2
TuesdayPhotoshop Project #2
Wednesday- Photoshop Project #2
Thursday-Photoshop Project #2
Friday- Introduce Project #3, review requirements and begin developing ideas.

Sculpture (5th Period)
Monday- Intro hand building techniques. Review project requirements.
Tuesday-Develop ideas/experimentation
Wednesday-Begin developing sketches.
Thursday-Begin construction
Friday-Continue construction


Intro to Art (6th Period)
Monday- Intro drawing faces. Practice Drawing Eyes-Exercise #1

Tuesday- Intro drawing noses. Practice Drawing noses-Exercise #2
Wednesday-Intro drawing lips. Practice drawing lips-Exercise #3
Thursday- Intro drawing a whole face. Practice-Exercise #4
Friday- Continue on facial proportions.
