Below is my weekly schedule so you can see which rotation day your child has art class. Each week I will give an overview of what students will be learning and creating in art class. Happy New Year!

January 3rd-January 7th, 2011 

7th Grade Art (1st and 7th Periods)
Monday-The students will continue on Fantasy Cities. Due tomorrow.
Tuesday- Fantasy Cities Due. Introduction of new unit. Begin sketchbook assignment.
Wednesday- Review key terms and finish sketchbook assignment.
Thursday- Students will be introduced to the artwork of Keith Haring. The students will read article and begin on 5 x 5 writing assignment.
Friday- The students will follow along with instructor to create a self-portrait.



Beginning Drawing (3rd, 4th, and 5th, Periods)
Monday- Pastel Landscapes
Tuesday- Pastel Landscapes. Due tomorrow.  
Wednesday-Pastel Landscapes Due. Students will read article and begin on
5 x 5 writing assignment after project is handed in. 
Thursday-Students will be given requirements for final project grade of the semester.
Friday- Students will begin working on a series of drawings for final project grade.



Intro to Art (6th Period)
Monday- Fantasy Hand-scapes. Due tomorrow.
Tuesday- Fantasy Hand-Scapes due. Students will read article and begin on 5 x 5 writing assignment.
Wednesday-Students will take notes and follow along with teacher demonstrations of perspective.
Thursday- Students will continue with perspective drawings and notes. Students will be given project requirements and begin sketching ideas for One-point perspective room.
Friday- Students will continue sketching ideas for one-point perspective room.
