Below you will find a brief description of what each grade level
will be completing in art class this week along with any important vocabulary
and/or artists.
Kindergarten
(Bernosky-Day 1, Kaminsky-Day 3, Potts-Day 4,

The students will discuss and name the parts of their faces and then
follow along to draw silly faces.
Frushon: The students will be
mixing red and yellow to create orange! They will then paint the leaves on
their Fall Tree!! Dress for Mess!
1st Grade
(Bridy-Day 1, Burns-Day 2, and Cooper-Day 4)
The students will finish coloring their underwater scenes. The students will then create a crayon resist by painting the background with watercolor paint. Students may want to bring a paint shirt.

2nd Grade
(Corinchock-Day 1, Schalles-Day 2, McCabe-Day 3, and
Bell-Day 5)
The students will discuss and view examples of symmetry. The students will find examples of symmetry around the classroom and in various artworks. The students will complete symmetry worksheet.

3rd Grade
(Lynch-Day 2. Laudeman-Day 4, and Selgrade-Day 5)

The students will learn how to draw and shade pipes to make them
look 3D. The students will complete 3D pipes worksheet. If time allows, the
students will learn about oil pastels and how to blend them and then spend time
experimenting.

The students will
finish sketching their jungle scene. They will then outline with marker and
then color in with colored pencils.
5th Grade
(Houser-Day 3 and Connors-Day 4)

The students will
review the process of drawing and shading ribbons. The students will be review
project requirements and draw and shade twisted ribbons then add in a unique
background with marker.
****Reminder!! Any
5th grade who brings in a shaded ribbon drawing to me will receive extra
credit!!!

The students will review the project requirements, finish their sketch, outline with Sharpie, and then color in Illuminated Name project. The students who finish will begin WordArt worksheet.
