Below you will find a brief description of what each grade level
will be completing in art class this week along with any important vocabulary
and/or artists.
Kindergarten

The students will be following along to draw and color a fall tree
without leaves.
Next Week (beginning Fri Nov. 1st) the students will be painting the leaves on their Fall Tree!! Dress for Mess!

1st Grade

The students will be introduced to the artist Paul Klee. The students will be able to tell if his artwork is realistic or abstract. The students will practice drawing underwater plants and animals.

The students review the project requirements and then begin their Egyptian project by drawing their name in Hieroglyphics and then choosing an Egyptian Image to include.

The students will review value and shading. The students will follow
along to draw simple forms such as a sphere, cube, cylinder, and cone. The students
will shade in.

The students will
review information on the artist Henri Rousseau and animals and plants found in
the jungle. The students will complete jungle worksheet by drawing various
plants and animals. The students will then follow along to draw a jungle scene
in the style of Henri Rousseau.

The students will review the process of drawing and shading ribbons.
The students will be given project requirements and begin drawing twisted
ribbons.
