Kindergarten-
Smith-The students will review the proper way to use and care for scissors and glue sticks. They will follow along to finish cutting and gluing shapes in a concentric pattern. To finish the project, they will draw, cut out, and glue a shape of their choice.
Green and Potts- The students will review the primary and secondary colors and how they are mixed. The students will review proper painting procedures. They will mix and then paint their entire paper green, followed by practice drawing an evergreen tree.
**Students may bring in an old t-shirt or smock to wear while painting**

The students will review information on Paul Klee and his style of abstract art. The students will finish sketching project, then use a Sharpie marker to trace. They will then use crayons to color in everything but the background of the ocean. If students are ready, they will review the procedure of using watercolors to create a crayon resist and then paint their background.

2nd Grade-
The students will review information on the Ancient Roman civilization, art and culture. The students will learn the process of making mosaics. The students will complete the Mosaic coloring sheets and then begin brainstorming and sketching an idea for their mosaic project. If they complete their sketch they will begin their mosaic by creating a border and outlining their picture using black construction paper squares.

3rd Grade-
The students will learn about Symmetry. They will view examples and then use their knowledge to complete symmetry packet. If not already completed, some students will finish oil pastel project first.

The students will review the Elements of Art. They will review the project requirements and then begin the project by creatively incorporating the Elements of Art into a variety of shapes.

5th Grade-
The students will continue adding details and shading their Rope/Ribbon project. Students who finish the project will be introduced to basic weaving techniques and create a paper weaving.

The students will review greeting card design techniques. They will brainstorm and develop 4 thumbnail sketches of holiday card ideas. They will transfer and trace their design onto foam and then create multiple prints of their design. They will assess their prints for areas that could be improved and re-print if necessary.
