Below you will find a brief description of what each grade level
will be completing in art class this week along with any important vocabulary,
images, or artist information.
Kindergarten

The students will
review the primary colors and the artist Mondrian. They will learn how to use a
pattern and trace various size squares and rectangles in the style of Mondrian.
The students will be painting next week!
**The students may get messy, you may send a smock or t-shirt for
them to use during class**

The students will review abstract and realistic artwork. The students will learn about the artist Joan Miro. The students will recognize his abstract artwork through completion of worksheet.

The students will be introduced to Egyptian Life, Culture, Art and Artwork. The students will learn what types of art they created and the techniques they used. The students will learn about Hieroglyphics and then practice writing Egyptian symbols.

look realistic. The students will learn how to shade properly and apply
knowledge to value worksheet.
4th Grade

The students will finish
adding model magic to their landscape. They will review proper painting
techniques. They will paint their 3D landscapes.

5th Grade

The students will review
project requirements and finish sketching still life. They will then properly
add value using the shading techniques learned throughout the lesson.
