Below you will find a brief description of what each grade level
will be completing in art class this week along with any important vocabulary
and/or artists.
Kindergarten

The students will review
the warm and cool colors. The students will use heart tracers to draw and color
in hearts using warm colors.
Bernosky and Kaminsky-The students will use watercolors to paint
background in using Cool Colors.
1st Grade
(Bridy-Day 1, Burns-Day 2, and Cooper-Day 4)
The students will finish Warm and Cool Abstract Flowers project. The students will be introduced to emotion in art. The students will view pieces and be able to interpret the emotion being portrayed. The students will begin emotion/facial expression worksheet.

The students will review Mosaics and how to create a mosaic. The students will continue cutting and gluing strips of paper in a mosaic design.

The students will finish and hand in Mandala project. The students
will review the primary, secondary, and intermediate colors. The students will
blend colors using crayons.
4th Grade

The students will
review the warm and cool colors and the process of color blending. The students
will complete color blending packet. The students will be introduced to chalk
pastels and how to care for and use them properly. They will practice blending
pastels.
5th Grade

review Op Art project requirements. The students will work on final copy of
project.
