Below is my weekly schedule so you can see which rotation day your child has art class. Each week I will give an overview of what students will be learning and creating in art class. I will also include relevant images, information, and links to additional resources. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns!!

December 12^th -December 16^th, 2011

7th Grade Art (1st and 7th Periods)
Monday- Continue on Narrative Art Project.
Tuesday- Add final details to project, complete self-assessment, and hand in. Go Over Study Guide and Review for quiz.
Wednesday- Quiz
Thursday-Introduce new unit, Artists as Designers. Define Design and the design process. Begin sketchbook assignment.
Friday-Complete sketchbook assignment.

Intro to Art (2nd and 6th Periods)
Monday- Finish Surrealism/Lewis Carroll sketchbook assignment and hand in.
Tuesday- Review project requirements, begin sketching.
Wednesday- Continue sketching ideas.
Thursday Begin final copy.
Friday use colored pencils to color.

Sculpture (3rd Period)
Monday Kinetic Sculpture Reading Strategies
Tuesday- Principles of Design-complete worksheet
Wednesday- Principles of Design-begin sketching ideas
Thursday- Continue sketching ideas/experimenting with materials.
Friday- begin construction

Advanced Sculpture (3rd Period)
Monday- Continue research and sketching
Tuesday Continue research and sketching
Wednesday- begin clay hand-building
Thursday- continue hand-building
Friday- continue hand-building.

Beginning Drawing (5th Period)
Monday- Charcoal Composition in the Style of Ora Lerman
Tuesday— Charcoal Composition in the Style of Ora Lerman
Wednesday- Charcoal Composition in the Style of Ora Lerman
Thursday- Introduce/Review color and basic color properties.
Friday- Complete handout and drawing exercises.
