Kindergarten-
Smith-The students will learn how to properly care and use paint and paintbrushes. They will review how to mix colors. They will mix yellow and blue to make green paint. They will paint their entire paper green. They will then practice drawing an evergreen tree.
Green and Potts- They will review how to draw the basic parts of the face. They will learn how to arrange and place the parts of the face and practice drawing faces. They will use a mirror to draw a self-portrait of themselves using the guidelines and techniques practiced.

The students will follow along to create abstract tree in the style of Klimt. They will add details by creating interesting patterns, coloring in and then adding gold glitter.

2nd Grade-
The students will review symmetry and pattern and then complete packet. The students will be introduced to the Ancient Greek culture. They will learn facts about Greek life art and architecture. They will practice patterns found on Greek pottery. They will practice drawing Greek vases.

3rd Grade-
The students will then be introduced to Asymmetry. They will practice Asymmetry using the white boards and then complete Asymmetry Packet. The students will follow along to create winter scene out of chalk that has Asymmetrical Balance.

4th Grade-
The classes will review the Principles of Design and finish the Principles of Design Packet. They will learn requirements and then work on their Principles of Design project.

5th Grade-
The students will review requirements for circular yarn weaving project, finish creating the warp for their project, and then begin weaving using yarn. If students finish their weaving they will have the opportunity to create additional weavings for extra credit.

The students will review one-point perspective. The students will follow along to create a room that is in one-point perspective. If time allows they will be introduced to Surrealism and view various examples.
