Below you will find a brief description of what each grade level will be completing in art class this week along with any important vocabulary and/or artists.

 

 

 

 

Kindergarten
(Bernosky-Day 1, Kaminsky-Day 3, Potts-Day 4,
Frushon-Day 5)

 

Bernosky, Potts, and Kaminsky: The students will review portraits and how to draw the parts of a face. The students will draw a self-portrait.

Frushon: The students will paint snow on their Evergreen Trees.  

 

 

 

 

1st Grade
(Bridy-Day 1, Burns-Day 2, and Cooper-Day 4)

The students will learn about warm and cool colors. The students will complete worksheet.

 

2nd Grade
(Corinchock-Day 1, Schalles-Day 2, McCabe-Day 3, and
Bell-Day 5)


The students will finish painting their Coil Pots. The students will complete Mosaic Color-by-Number. If time allows, they will be introduced to Mosaics and view examples.

3rd Grade

Selgrade-Day 5)

 

The students will be introduced to Radial Balance and Mandalas. The students will complete packet using knowledge of Radial Balance.

4th Grade
(Nestor-Day 1, Herring-Day 2, and Moyer-Day 3)

 

The students will review the Elements of Art. They will continue on their Elements of Art project.  

 

 

 

 

 

5th Grade
(Houser-Day 3 and Connors-Day 4)

 

 

The students will finish making beads and assembling jewelry. The students will begin Op Art worksheet.

The students will continue on One-Point Perspective Project. When finished sketching, they will color it in.
