Potts:
Dress for Mess!!! The students will be painting this week!!! You can send them with an old t-shirt to use as a smock or simply just don’t send them in their nicest newest clothes! Thanks!!
The students will discuss what two primary colors made the secondary color of GREEN. The students will review painting techniques and paint white to create a snowy scene.
Kaminsky:
The students will be introduced to warm and cool colors. The students will view examples of each and then complete activity/worksheet in which they utilize the warm and cool colors.
Bernosky:

The students will review mixing colors and recognize the primary and secondary colors. The students will use their previously painted paper to draw, cut and glue out an evergreen tree.

1st Grade (Bridy-Day 1, Burns-Day 2, and
Cooper-Day 4)
The students will review information on the artist Henri Matisse.
The students will review geometric and organic shapes. The students will review
the process of creating a collage and finish gluing down geometric shapes. The
students will then begin drawing and cutting out organic shapes.
2nd Grade (Bell-Day 1, Schalles-Day 2, Ressler-Day 3, and Corinchock-Day 5)
The students will cut and glue down paper onto their Mosaic projects. The students will finish and hand in this week.
3rd Grade (Shadle-Day 2. Laudeman-Day 3, and
Selgrade-Day 5)
The students will be introduced to the process of shading to achieve
more three-dimensional looking objects. The students will view examples and
learn the techniques. The students will begin practicing on shading worksheet.
4th Grade (Nestor-Day 1, Herring-Day 2, and
Burda-Day 3)
The students will be introduced to color mixing and blending. The
students will learn techniques to mix and blend colors. The students will
recognize warm and cool colors. The students will begin worksheet on which they
practice blending and mixing colors.
*A few students who have not yet finished their Rousseau Jungle
Scene will finish their projects.
5th Grade (Kempsey-Day 3 and Wolfe-Day 4)
The students will review the process of making Paper beads and
continue creating various types of paper beads. The students will begin
brainstorming the piece of jewelry they would like to make with their beads.
If the students make the required number of beads they can begin
construction on their jewelry.
6th Grade (Ney-Day 1, Adams-Day 2, Hysock-Day 3, and Kessler-Day 5)
The students will review one-point perspective. The students will be
given the perspective project requirements. The students will begin developing
ideas for the project and then begin drawing.
