The students review the primary colors and the artist Piet Mondrian, who uses the primary colors in his artwork. The students will learn how to properly trace patterns and then create a picture using squares and rectangles. The students will discuss proper ways to use paint and paintbrushes. If time allows, the students will begin painting their shapes.
***Students may bring in a smock, paint shirt or old t-shirt to wear over top of their clothes while painting. I do have a limited number of paint shirts available for those who do not bring in a paint shirt.
