Below is my weekly schedule so you can see which rotation day your child has art class. Each week I will give an overview of what students will be learning and creating in art class. November 29th-December 3rd

7th Grade Art (1st and 7th Periods)
Monday-No School
Tuesday- The students will finish and hand in projects.
Wednesday- The students will be introduced to the next unit and complete a sketchbook assignment.
Thursday- The students will learn about architecture, design, and the architects Frank Lloyd Wright and Frank Gehry.
Friday- The students will learn one-point perspective.

Beginning Drawing (3rd, 4th, and 5th, Periods)
Monday- No School
Tuesday- Sketchbook Assignment Due. The students will continue on their personal composition projects. Due Friday.
Wednesday-The students will continue on their personal composition projects.
Thursday-The students will finish their personal composition projects. Due tomorrow.
Friday- The students will hand in projects then be introduced to the next unit. The students will complete a drawing exercise.


Intro to Art (6th Period)
Monday- No School
Tuesday- Students will work on Grid Drawing- Due Friday. 
Wednesday- Grid Drawing
Thursday- Grid Drawing
Friday- Grid Drawing Due. The students will be introduced to the next unit and complete a series of drawings.

Beginning Drawing (3rd, 4th, and 5th, Periods)
Monday- The students will continue on  projects.

November 15th-November 19th

7th Grade Art (1st and 7th Periods)
Monday-No School
Tuesday- Students will be introduced to the first project, Narrative Paper Cut-Outs. Students will review requirements and begin sketching ideas.
Wednesday- The students will be continue developing ideas.
Thursday- The students will begin cutting out shapes. The students will be given study guide to complete in class.
Friday- The students will continue on their projects and review the study guide for Monday's Quiz. 

Beginning Drawing (3rd, 4th, and 5th, Periods)
Monday- No School
Tuesday- The students will review for quiz, and continue on projects.
Wednesday-The students will take quiz and continue on projects.
Thursday-The students will continue on projects.
Friday-  The students will continue on  projects.

Intro to Art (6th Period)
Monday- No School.
Tuesday- Grid Drawing Sketchbook due.The students will be introduced to the next project, Grid Drawing. The students will be given demonstration of how to enlarge image.
Wednesday- Students will begin creating grid for their enlarged image.
Thursday- The students will finish creating grid and start drawing in image.
Friday- Students will continue drawing image.

November 8th-November 12th

7th Grade Art (1st and 7th Periods)
Monday-Students will be introduced to two Paper Cut-Out Artists.
Tuesday- Students will be introduced to key vocabulary for the unit.
Wednesday- The students will be introduced to the first paper cutting technique, Notan.
Thursday- The students will create an example of Notan.
Friday- The students will be introduced to the second paper cutting technique, Wycinanki.
 
Beginning Drawing (3rd, 4th, and 5th, Periods)
Monday- The students will continue sketching ideas for composition project.
Tuesday- The students will begin sketching on charcoal paper.
Wednesday-The students will continue on composition project.
Thursday-The students will continue on composition project. The students will review for the quiz.
Friday- Quiz. The students will continue on composition project.

Intro to Art (6th Period)
Monday- The students will continue adding color to their symbol projects.
Tuesday- The students will continue adding color to their symbol projects.
Wednesday- Students will review for tomorrow's quiz.
Thursday- Quiz. The students will finish and hand in projects.
Friday- Students will be introduced to the next unit.
